Spare Parts, Remotes and Roller Door Maintenance in Adelaide
The Importance Of Servicing Your Garage Door
Hi there! Garage doors are not only utilised for security but are a valued investment adding appeal and value to your home. In this day of modern convenience a good portion of the population have automated garage doors.
A garage door should be easy to lift manually if installed correctly and with the correct tension applied but if it is automated it’s sometimes difficult to determine. An opener is only as good as the door it is installed on. Preventative maintenance is the key to prolonging the life of the opener for trouble free operation and thus reinforcing product warranties. As with all products and services there is a difference in quality when it comes to purchasing garage doors and openers.
When selecting a new garage door or opener the different conditions of site, i.e. corrosive areas, high wind factors, height and width clearances, need to be taken into consideration as well as the individual tastes of the customer and the look and design of the home, to achieve the best astetic appearance.
After a door is installed it can lose tension as the springs relax. This impacts on the opener as it has to work harder to do it’s job. Combined with normal building movement, road grime collecting in tracks, etc., and continuous use the need for servicing the door becomes paramount.
At The Roller Door Doctor we recommend that after 12 to 24 months, depending on the brand of door, it’s size, it’s location and it’s usage, the door should be serviced and maintained. All of our technicians are fully trained on all brands and stock most parts in their vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction. We also take care of our own warranties with our full time service technicians covering all of the Adelaide metropolitan and outer areas.
